Predicted climate variables for the months of September, October, and November along the western region under a high emissions scenario were processed to created a index from 1 to 5 representing the optimal conditions for peak fall foliage, with 5 being the highest potential and 1 being the lowest.
The storymap explores the science behind fall foliage, methodology behind the prediction, and interactive web maps comparing the late 20th century peak fall foliage with the predicted peak fall foliage.
Inspired from my trip to Sweden, forecasted the long term island growth in the Stockholm archipelago from glacial rebound utilizing an uplift raster published in 2016 which provides the rate of land rising across the Nordics, a digital model of Europe with 30 meter accuracy, and a bathymetry model of Europe.
Below you'll find the StoryMap sharing my travels in Sweden. Along with more information about my analysis process and data sources.
